  11. We roasted Freddy for not making saves like that so we gotta do the same for Jack. That's a stoppable shot.

  12. Change something. Like brocto running around all mad at Rielly like he isn't doing exactly what they are asked to do. All of them are. Slick Mitchy at 5 on 5, he's a fucking wonder kid. On the power play? He's fucking sauce to the point, get it back, look for the cross seam to Matty but it's covered, circle low, dump it off to the guy at the side of the net who can't do shit because his position is stupid, get it back on the half wall, switch sides and drop it to Rielly as he flies by with a PKer right up in his face, hope Rielly can get it back to him under pressure, try to cross seam it to M

  13. I dont have a problem with paying to shore up a positional need its what GMs are supposed to do GMs that arent willing to pay when they feel their team is ready, watch the Stanley Cup Finals from their couch.

  14. It's a late first. Good trade, if we don't make it to the conference finals, this trade will look really stupid.

  16. it's crazy. I've watched sundin, mogilney, gilmour, etc, but i've never watched anyone (consistently I mean, aka, on the leafs) who even enters matthews' level. you can't even compare previous franchise players the leafs have had to matthews, he's just that much better.

  20. i'm not sure i agree that muzzin has been terrible for us, or that it won't be hard for a replacement to be better. I do see that he hasn't been as strong as he typically is, and he has made some decisions that are questionable, but I think some might be blowing his drop in play abit out of proportion. he's still been pretty solid imo. we do need him at his best come playoffs mind you, but a throw in dman isn't going to replace muzzin even when he's not at his best, not even close imo.

  21. A strong "statement" game by Campbell. Average most of the game, but great when he had to be. I hope this gives him the confidence to continue playing exactly like that.

  23. i'm sorry, but I don't see how *this* team, this year's team, needs to be demolished because our goaltending is god-awful. and we can sit and pretend like our team should be good enough to win rounds in the playoffs without goaltending, but that team has never existed in the history of the nhl, and it never will. if you dont have goaltending, not even the 1970s canadiens would win. if we had mediocre goaltending I would make that argument, but god-awful goaltending? yeah no. i dont see how that is on the core.

  25. Ya know ur in trouble when the empty net does better than ur goalie.

  26. You know that’s not video evidence. Which is what you need to overturn the call. That’s not nearly as frustrating as knowing that once the first goal went in for van, the leafs would buckle. I called it that instant. Yeah, some poor goaltending. A bad call, ok. You scored twice, and were beaten by an ahl team. And it was easy to see coming. Unacceptable.

  27. it was terrible goaltending. this is exactly what freddie was crucified here for. bad goals. our PP is a joke, we had bad goaltending. and we lost to a team that was decimated by covid and hadn't played in weeks

  31. Jack Campbell has me believing again. He’s been a career backup I know so it might be hopeful but he’s around the age some goalies put it all together. Plus Campbell seems to be the personality type who can be better the more important the game. I don’t want to see Andersen as the go to guy ever again to be honest.

  33. Ugh. Staal (max retained) goes for a 3rd and a 5th. Leafs drop a 1st and 2 4ths on Foligno. Ugly. If a 30pt past his prime grinder is the best you can do, don't bother. Keep the pick(s). Disappointing, to say the least.

  36. If your expecting total dominance from our team with Muzz, Foligno and Rielly out....fuck we are lucky we are ahead of 3-1 at this point...most Leafs fans take that 100% of the time.
